Purchasing Existing Data

ARTF purchased 18 studies that were conducted by member companies prior to the establishment of ARTF. These studies comprised some 283 separate sets of exposure measurements, each set quantitatively describing exposure to the various body parts of one worker entering a field for one workday to perform one activity in one crop. All of the studies were reviewed for acceptability by independent and regulatory reviewers prior to becoming part of the ARTF database. Some additional studies brought to ARTF for consideration were not included in the database. Only those sets of exposure measurements that the reviewers deemed acceptable were purchased. Applicable data has been thoroughly reviewed and entered into the ARTF database.
