Hand to Mouth Exposure

The ORETF submitted two reports to the regulatory agencies that provide refined and more realistic data for hand-to-mouth exposure.  The ORETF conducted research to better understand oral exposure potential resulting from hand to mouth activity for children re-entering treated turf.  ORETF evaluated both the frequency of hand to mouth events and the surface area of the hand that is mouthed per event.  This research will help facilitate the development of risk assessment tools and further the understanding of oral exposure potentials resulting from hand to mouth activities.
