ORETF
Objectives

Objectives

The original goal of ORETF was to generate a database of generic exposure data that are applicable to homeowners and professional lawn care operators who apply pesticides to residential turf areas; and to individuals who enter a turf area following a pesticide application.  ORETF expanded the original objectives to cover exposure while applying pesticides to gardens and ornamentals.  This was done to aid the membership in meeting requirements established by the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA), which was enacted after the formation of ORETF.

The ORETF members and regulatory agencies are using the generic exposure data, along with product-specific toxicological, residue, and use data, in doing residential and occupational exposure risk assessments.
