Who We Are

The ORETF is a limited-liability company formed by most of the major pesticide manufacturers in North America. These companies pooled their technical and financial resources to satisfy USEPA’s Data Call-In with the development of a comprehensive database that will define the generic relationship between exposure and transferable turf residues (TTR) and provide data on exposure to professional lawn care operators and homeowners who mix and apply pesticides to residential lawns, gardens and ornamentals.

The data from this research project may only be used for doing risk assessments and making regulatory decisions for the members who sponsored the research, and in the case of EPA’s use of the data to make pesticide registration decisions, non-members that cite ORETF’s data base and offer to compensate ORETF in compliance with FIFRA.
